Have an occasional tendency to keep things or recycle them. (suspected to have OCD from some friends hahahaha jk)..hoping to make the world a better place..a mastermind in getting out of trouble and a goody-two-shoes to teachers XD..sarcastic, cynical and overdramatic..have an unexplainable detest towards roaches.. After all the bamboozling above, this rookie blogger(who'd probably remain as one for a pretty long time) will try to keep Kineticism alive this time with opinions and random venting on issues related to whatever is on her mind..is it even possible??

Uniquely Singapore

OK time to promote Singapore...
Believe it or not, I actually missed almost a whole week of F5 tuition classes to go on a 3 day 2 night stay in Singapore with Daddy...
With my new passport in Dad's hands, we drove our way to the land of Lions on Wednesday. Don't know why but it took us about 6 hours to arrive there, maybe cause we stopped about 5 times along the way. Anyway we were greeted by the cats and dogs that were falling from the sky instead of the sunshine I was hoping for, after all this IS my first time overseas...
After leaving the customs, we went to look for a hotel. It was a nice ride to the city, other than the various species of cats and dogs that were obscuring the view, I managed to see that Singapore is like a garden city. The roads and such were lined with big trees that act as an umbrella, and I don't mean little pathetic half-dead trees you see in our country, I mean the big ones that look like mushrooms. Awhile later my Dad suddenly said
" You know, I dunno where I'm goin"
" Oh no..serious ah?"
" Uh huh"
That was all I remembered before I dozed off again...an hour later I woke up hearing my Dad calling my cousin to get the way to the city, apparently during the hour I slept, we managed to drive one BIG round around Singapore. In the end we checked in this hotel called Hotel 81 which was sort of a slightly classy version of a 'budget' hotel, the reason we chose this hotel is because of its wonderful location in the middle of Chinatown surrounded by yes...one of my favourite places, malls and lotsa food!! Spent ages with the parking then we went jalan-jalan, cari makan. Dad argued with the lady in 7-11 and he refused to go to the same one so we had to walk further down the road to another 7-11 and guess what was displayed beside the counter?! Gummies!!! I luv'em! The worms and coke bottle shaped gummies are wonderful...bless whoever created them..Didn't do much on the first night, just eat at DeliVege..oh wait!!
DeliVege is on it's way to becoming the first vegetarian franchise in the world. The shop is a very nice vegetarian shop, the deco is cool too..a whole wall was solely for the use of statements such as:
I will not eat anything that walks, runs, skips, hops or crawls.(they forgotten about swims)
You can't eat meat and call yourself an environmentalist.
All wholesome food is caught without a net or a trap.
Your coming here to eat has saved another life.
If we all love animals, why do we call some pets and others dinner?(my personal fav.)
Give back life, don't eat meat.
No living creature wants to see her family slaughtered..hens love their chicks, sows love their piglets and cows love their calfs..
You shouldn't have to lie to your kids about the food you eat.
No animals deserves to die for your taste buds.
If slaughterhouses had glass walls, everyone would be a vegan.
A vegetarian is a person who won't eat anything that can have children.
I don't eat animal because they don't eat me.
The world is praying for you not to eat meat.
Glad I had vegetarian. Hope everyone would eat vegetarian at least once a week. Walked a little at the night market, had supper and KO. ( I typed the statements because this so-called-novelist was caught without a camera in hand)
OK next morning got up, sat their fabulous MRT to City Hall then walked all the way to the River Cruise. Singaporeans are really rushing everyday, the speed they walk and the speed of their escalator says it all. Anyway enjoyed a 45min river cruise while eating jellyworms and gummies haha... Saw the Merlion but didn't take pictures BECAUSE the stupid camera malfunctioned!! only managed to take 2 pictures..
Sat MRT to Orchard and walked the whole of Orchard Road. Dad scolded me many times cause I couldn't grasp the MRT system but of course I got the hang of it now la. Anyway walked up and down Orchard Road and its many malls that are linked together, bought a few souvenirs for Heng, Sasa, SY, Taran and Ee Von as their Singapore/Xmas prezie hahahahahahahaha...Went home around 6pm I think and relaxed while waiting for Bro to finish his exams and join us for dinner. Ate and some steamboat restaurant in Chinatown and boy did I eat!! Can't help it, there seem to be a lot of room inside of me so eat and eat la.. When the feast was over I actually had trouble getting up. You see that bag I'm carrying? In it contains almost everything in a girl's life, it's amazing how it still looks empty huh.. Got back to the hotel, had my bath and just watched some TV, our hotel provides ASTRO channels too how good!! But...I missed the final episode of The Amazing Race Asia 3 and the day I'm writing this is a Tuesday and I STILL don't know who won, but most probably ain't the Malaysian girls if not there would be advertisements congratulating them.
Got up on the 3rd day with my "monthly friend", sigh... Packed out stuffs, checked out the hotel, stuffed everything into the car then Dad gave me $100 to spend at a shop and I was given an hour and 20 minutes to do so. In the end I just got some purple dress for CNY next year weee..... In the afternoon visited my grandmother at my aunt's house and pujuk her to agree getting a maid to help out in her house in PJ. If my Grandma refuses the maid then she have to live in Singapore with my Aunt cause she can't stay alone. And if she goes to Singapore my other Aunt living with her can't stay in the PJ house cause she's afraid to be alone which means she have to stay in my house in my sis's room. Then my sis have to sleep in my bed while I sleep on my bro's bed since he's in Singapore studying. BUT what if one day my brother comes back for holiday, where is he going to sleep? There is only a certain amount of people that can occupy my 3-bedroom house you know...So finally my Grandma agreed but she can't return to PJ yet cause she still had to go for some check-ups in the hospital.(When we were cleaning her PJ house, my Dad saw the cockoach that started it all cause Grandma slipped and fell on her back while trying to catch that stupid roach!). Then Dad drove like mad back to PJ in record time, I mean it took us almost 6 hours to get to Singapore but we got back to PJ in about 3 and a half hours!! Ate supper, went home bathed and KO.
It feels odd to be back home, being in a whole new country for the first time makes me feel like I'm free or something. But being back home reminds me of all the responsibilities, work, studies etc that I was trying to forget while I was in Singapore. Now since I'm back to my old routine lifestyle, all I have is this post as a memory of me going overseas for the first time (19/11/08-21/11/09). Will definitely be back to Singapore as soon as I can but this time with a proper functioning camera.
P/S: - Still have to exercise
- Get my own camera(dun tink gonna happen)
- Finish paperwork ASAP
- Watch 'BOLT'

Where Rainbows End

Greeting to all, sorta new..well rather rusty in blogging ever since my friendster one(http://sadako-curse.blog.friendster.com/)expired but you can still view it as you please.
Well, since the last time i wrote, i have undergone many changes..physically(uh-hmm) and mentally.
1) I took off my braces on 31 October 2008 after wearing it since 11 July 2006.
2) I went for a solo hymn singing competition but did not win(no laughing please)
3) I am a part of BISDS Choir "One Voice, One Melody" and proud of it.
4) After months of work, managed to land a spot as secretary in St. John committee but wait...more work is pouring in.
5) I got my passport just recently and using it soon to go to Singapore, first time going overseas if you don't count my birthplace.
6) Got in and out of a relationship twice.
7) Officially became a prefect in school.
8) Eggy, one of my bestie became head prefect and CF president.
9) SY, another one of my bestie became Editor of school magazine and Interact Club president.
10) Sasa, yet another one of my bestie..still her bubbly self with an occasional note of grumpiness.
11) I got my passport this year!!!!(very funny-don't laugh)
12) ......................er..
Anyway today got up at 6am then got ready to go for Save-A-Life. Dad in charged of getting the animals so went with him to the petshop to get the fishes and birds to be released. While i was goggling at the rabbits, hamsters and guinea pigs..i heard the ever popular male call >> fee-uu-weet!! Looked around for the idiot who made that noise and guess what? It was a bird!! And what a smart bird it is too..when i said hello to the rabbit, the bird actually repeated what i said!! Amazingly he pronounced it better than some people..Then the owner's wacky dog escaped and started barking at us..speaking of dogs, my dog Lucky keeps howling when he heard the ambulance siren, it happens when the newspaper man blares his "OLD NEWSPAPER, PAPER LAMA,(and bla bla in chinese)". The venue for the releasing of birds and fishes this month is Ampang Forest Reserve Park. It was free the last time I went but lo and behold, the authorities has decided to put a pricetag on it. Nevertheless it is a beautiful place to have a picnic with your family and friends..sooooooo....probably on the 29th my dad will bring my girlfrens and i there, can't wait!! Heng having some trouble going though sigh..
Anyway today i finished reading Cecelia Ahern's 'Where Rainbows End'. A touching tale of true friendship between a boy and girl that blossomed into love after overcoming many obstacles, misunderstandings and sheer bad luck. The way this book is written is not like the typical novel you see everyday, it started with little Rosie and Alex passing notes to each other talking about everyday events. As they grew up, their method of communication also changed...from written letters to emails to MSN chatting style! Everyone in the story uses one of these ways to communicate amongst each other. Hmm..so you might think that you'd get lost halfway through but don't worry..Cecelia wrote it in such a way that it is easy to follow because she understands each characters dilemma and knows how to interpret and express it. I cried at the last few pages of the book because it was so touching and emotional..the fact that true love exists even at the age of 50 is beautiful, i mean love has no age limit..you can be the oldest being on earth but yet you can still experience love. And then there is the silence that happened between 2 persons, as if the world stop moving and everything else disappears except the 2 person staring at each other with their hearts thumping against their chest..if you ever experience the silence with anyone, then you know it is meant to be...hence, my blog is finally named..another one of Cecelia's masterpiece is PS I Love You which is equally good..currently hoping to get her latest book entitled 'The Gift' available in bookstores right now, it's easy to spot it, the oni book wrapped as if it is a gift.
P/S: -Have to stop binging on food every 10 minutes
-Have to settle as much paperwork as i can today
-Have to get ready for training and hair-cut tomorrow
